Group 4 Securicor

G4S_Securicor_guardian24Interview with Project and Training Manager for Group 4 Securicor Ireland

1. What was Group 4 Securicor's motivation when sourcing a security solution for your lone workers?

G4S felt the need to have a lone working security solution as another layer of security for key members of staff due to the increase in the Tiger kidnap type of attack against our business.

2. The initial pilot was deemed a success; how has Guardian24 been able to meet your needs?

• The users now feel that they are never on their own and help is there when they may need it.

• It is extremely user friendly.

• Guardian24 as a company respond quickly to any change/clarification of their system G4S has requested in order to tailor it to our requirements.

• The Guardian24 system is now another security layer the bandit will have to take into consideration when planning an attack. This ultimately means that Guardian24 may act as a deterrent to the criminal.

• One of the main comments returned from those who took part in our pilot is that they feel Guardian24 gives them ‘peace of mind’. This is priceless to both the user and the G4S.

3. Do you have a certain criteria staff need to meet to hold a Guardian24 license?

The call logging element of Guardian24 is being rolled out among key roles within our organisation. These roles have been identified by the management team. However, one of the advantages of Guardian24 is that if we wish to expand these key roles we can do so immediately.

We have decided to role out the mobile phone panic facility to ALL staff within G4S.

4. How straightforward was implementation?

Implementation is quite easy once you have identified those you wish to use the system. Guardian24 do most of the account set up and training of users, management etc.  Guardian24 are also there if we need help on any other aspect of the implementation.
