Guardian24 Standard Service
The standard service works via your existing mobile phone, PDA, Identicom, BlackBerry or specialist Lone Worker Device.
Guardian24 has two key functions:
1. Logging Activities
This allows users to log in to the Guardian24 service leaving relevant information about their activity, location and concerns.
They enter the duration in minutes on to their key pad and if they fail to log out the timer will over run and Guardian24 will call the user on 2 intervals to ensure they are safe.
If no response is received from the user Guardian24 will proceed to call nominated respondents to notify them that there may be a problem.
2. Raising Alerts
Should the user come in to difficulty or their safety is compromised they can summon help by simply pressing the alert function on their chosen device.
Guardian24 will record live audio and call the Nominated Respondent relaying all necessary information about the incident in hand – Registered Personal Details, Activity Information, Alert audio and an incident number.
The nominated respondent can call the incident helpline enter in the incident number and connect to a live feed from the users device. Extremely powerful information in trying to respond to a user and can easily be passed on to the emergency services or colleagues to decide on the appropriate response.
There is also the option of a duress function that allows the user to enter in a code that sounds like it is cancelling their current activity but it sends the activity in to Duress and calls the nominated respondents to notify them that the user is in difficulty and needs assistance.
If the user does not close down the call the line will stay open and Guardian24 will send any recorded audio to the nominated respondent along with notification that the activity is now in duress.
Guardian24 with (GPS) Global Positioning Satellite and/or LBS (Location based Services)
Guardian24 utilises GPS Technology allowing the user to send their location details at any time.
This technology allows the users location information to be kept up to date whilst working alone in the community.
Provided by US Department of Defence 28 GPS satellites continuously circle Earth your position is determined by measuring distance from several satellites.
Phone mast based technology is fast, inexpensive and may be available through your existing mobile phone network.
Enabling you to locate staff in an emergency situation. Along with all the features of the standard Guardian24 service you may be able to add Guardian24 Location Based Services; it uses advanced GSM network operator technology to identify the approximate location of a phone or device.
Maps can be easily viewed via the Guardian24 website and no specialist equipment or device is required.
Guardian24 Global - International Service
Guardian24 is available locally in several European countries. In addition Guardian24 users normally based in the United Kingdom can access their Guardian24 services when abroad in a transparent way and have the comfort of knowing that their “G24 Alarm” is always available should they need it.
The user’s handset is configured to deliver a unique series of tones to identify them to Guardian24 when their phone number has been suppressed or withheld by local network providers.
SMS
We have developed a Guardian24 Short Messaging Service via the Guardian24 website.
This allows clients to send text messages to employees in structured groups/teams/departments, ad hoc message campaigns etc.
This is an extremely useful communication tool providing a quick and effective way of communicating with your mobile teams out in the community and can be of particular benefit when implementing disaster recovery, business continuity and risk avoidance tasks, for example flood, fire, terrorist, etc.
