Bluechip Technologies has spent the last decade pioneering solutions in the field of personal security. The company’s core product is the ‘Guardian24’ personal security service which has been designed to provide support and safety to Lone Workers.
Guardian24 is already used by a large range of Bluechip clients- from FTSE listed multinationals down to SME’s. And with legislation such as the corporate Manslaughter Act and bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive governing duty of care for staff, the safety of lone workers is of paramount importance to all employers.
Bluechip has now added Group 4 Securicor in Ireland to its growing list of clients after clinching a deal to provide 550 cash-in-transit staff in the Republic with the Guardian24 service.
The Guardian24 service can be used by any device which picks up a phone signal. The most common way to use the system is on a mobile phone but Guardian24 can also be facilitated on any GSM and GPS device as well as BlackBerry & PDAs. Bluechip has also incorporated a discreet device called Identicom. This is a mobile phone hidden at the back of an identity card holder.
When the alarm is raised by pressing on a designated speed dial button, Guardian24 receives the lone worker’s details and their current location. It also records all background noise, picking up the situation as it unfolds. The information is then relayed swiftly by Guardian24 to the employer.
