Identicom
The Identicom range meets all the requirements of BS8484 from a functionality perspective. A product uniquely styled as an identity card-holder. The device is easily wearable and not an obvious communications device to anyone that a lone worker encounters. It contains mobile phone (GSM) technology which allows a user to discretely open an audio channel to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) or nominated respondent in the event of verbal abuse, attack or if they feel their safety is about to be compromised. An operator at the ARC or nominated respondent can listen live and assess the situation and raise an appropriate response to get help to the lone worker. Events can also be recorded for future use.

Identicom i-Series

The i-Series range (i750 fully integrated device, i757 fully integrated with GPS, i770 Man Down, i777 Man Down with GPS) incorporates several Identicom variants facilitating discreet audio evidence capture, automatic ‘man down’ alarms and GPS location data.

Identicom is wearable and therefore close at hand, discreet to use and not an overt communications device. It offers protection by reducing risk, and helps an employer reduce costs and help meet their duty of care to a mobile workforce.

Identicom t-Series

The t-series Identicom range takes all the features from the i-Series range but offers additional safety benefits to the user and additional efficiency gains to the lone worker manager through real-time location data. T-Series products (t757 GPS and Location Tracking and t777 GPS and Location Tracking and Man Down) have the facility to store up to 1000 positions, and upload GPS data that can be accessed to improve the coordination of business operations.

The following is a list of key features and benefits that Identicom can help provide:

  • Unique ID card format ensures Identicom is always with the worker and within immediate reach
  • Discreet activation ensures the worker is not putting themselves at any further risk or danger
  • Discreet activation ensures an open voice call from Identicom can help capture verbal abuse as well as identify potential issues of physical abuse.
  • One button activation of multiple escalation actions (i.e. voice call and multiple text messages)
  • Unique ‘stop and check’ function ensures the worker verifies their ability to raise an alarm before entering a potentially hazardous situation.
  • An ability to pre-record useful information before a visit is made, Identicom can then operate on a timer mechanism. Failure to respond to the timer will initiate an alert status.
  • Lanyard ‘rip alarm’ ensures that the device enters an alert status if it is forcibly removed from the wearer.
  • All industry sized ID cards can be accommodated, simply slide in/out from the side.
  • Tri-band GSM technology means Identicom will operate in any country where GSM networks exist.
